My Story Continue

 

캘리포니아에 살다보면 사시사철 푸른나무들속에 살아간다. 그중 팜츄리 나무들은 언제나 나에게
낭만과 고국에 소식을 기다리 아저씨 같은 느낌을 준다. 팜츄리 나무 너머에는 노을과 구름 해변이
있을 것 같은 생각을 그려본다. 하늘 높이 솟아 바람에흔들리며 굳건히 서있는 팜츄리를 보다보면
그리움, 외로움, 엄마생각, 나의 젊은 시절 생각도 같이 날린다. 나의 그림속에는 하늘, 나무, 산, 물,
바위, 바람이 시간이고 세월이었다는것을 조금 알게 되었습니다. LA의 비온후 하늘이 보여주는 모습은
있는 그대로의 세상이다. 나의 마음의 눈으로 이국적 풍광을 내가 할 수 있는 기법으로 나의 느낌과
생각을 화폭에 담아 보았습니다.

Living in California, I find myself surrounded by evergreen trees throughout the year. Among them, palm trees
always give me a sense of romance, like an old man waiting for news from his homeland. Beyond the palm
trees, I imagine a sunset, clouds, and the ocean. As I watch the tall palms sway in the wind, standing strong,
my thoughts drift away with them—memories of longing, loneliness, my mother, and my youthful days. In my
paintings, I have come to realize that the sky, trees, mountains, water, and rocks—along with the wind—are
all representations of time and the passage of life. After the rain in LA, the sky reveals a world as it truly is.
Through the eyes of my heart, I capture the exotic landscapes before me, expressing my feelings and thoughts
on canvas with my own techniques.
