Soonok Lee is an post-expressionism artist based in Los Angeles. She works in Acrylic on canvas.
She is seeking serenity of the objective reality on portrait, abstract, still-life, landscape, and every day painting. She distributes her emotional tension and release, building manyfold layers of colors and compositions, scribbling, scraping, and shape-making.
She is free to let earlier layers emerge in the final layer in order to create dissonance. Soonok Lee is struggling to find an absolute moment belong in the reality. She studied in literature, theology, and fine arts.
